Some well diluted APC and a bit of elbow grease. Some of the spray on carpet cleaners you get in the supermarket should be fine as well.

As Enda said above!

Or I found Chemical Guys Fabric Clean excellent - even found it quite good on chewing gum, even though it was still tough to remove.

I had the same problem and I bought myself a small scrubing brush and a 450ml bottle of Liquid Vanish Hand Shampoo/ large area carpet cleaner.I cleaned all the seats, the carpet and the mats and it was well worth the elbow grease.I tried the spray vanish and another expensive argos carpet cleaner and these did not do it for me

Liquid Vanish Carpet shampoo is one of the best you can get. Have used it for over 10 years now and no complaints.
Different story if you have car valet business, a bit pricey in that case and lots of industrial alternatives then.

Autoglym super interior shampoo is also very good, leaves a subtle yet fresh smell in the car. Trade range is better as the retail one comes pre diluted.

The Chemical Guys Fabric Clean also needs to be diluted down - found that at 10 parts water to 1 Fabric Clean will remove most stubborn stains!
