They showed a small clip of Mark's doughnuts on BBC after the race, they werent great to be honest.

I think Mark has lightened up a bit towards Vettel in the Abu Dabi race. He seemed a lot happier.

Did anyone else notice the slow last pitstop for Massa by Ferrari. The front tyre took ages to go on, which gave Alonso time to get past Massa. Also apparently Massa was saying after the race he wanted the soft tyre for the last stint like Alonso, but they gave him the medium slower tyre instead. Conspiracy!!! :D

Thought Vettel was in a class of his own again. A bit slow compared to Mercedes off the line, but once he was in front he is untouchable! But previous race he showed he could overtake after the very early pitstop. He is definitely going to be one of the greats!

Speaking of Massa.

There is alot of talk about other drivers being moved, Hulkenberg, Maldonado etc but very little about Massa which is unfair as i Think, He has proved that he is still up there with the best and has out qualified Alonso for the last 5 races even with Alonso getting the better support form the team.
I mean he was a world champion for a few seconds until Hamilton overtook on the last corner.

Maldonado is really up himself IMO, figures he deserves a seat up the padock because he is a"Previous race winner". the fact that he he has only 1 point this year and still being mooted for a Lotus seat? WRONG!! Especially if the Hulk doesn't get a seat he truly deserves. Hopefully Lotus can sort out their financial woes, pay Kimi and move on and get the most talented driver available and not the one with the biggest purse. What next? Max Chilton buying his way further up the grid with daddy's money?:eek:
By the way, I thought David Croft's comment when Chilton tried to make a move on Bianchi yesterday was class: "Move over Jules, my daddy's got more money than yours":D:D

On Massa; Would be a shame if he doesn't get a seat for at least Force India up. Williams would be a bad move for him IMO. Would like to see him partnering Paul di-Resta at Force India.

I remember at one stage when Schumacher was at his winning best getting that bored feeling... but when it was all over missing his brilliance. Have decided to enjoy Vettel's dominance and appreciate that what we are witnessing is just that, pure brilliance and more power to him and Newey and what all at Red Bull have achieved on a budget that's less than what they had when they were Jaguar! (It's even rumoured that Vettel's salary is less than what that of Eddie Irvine was:eek: )
Points for do-noughts!!, now there's an idea :p

The annual list of F1 salaries has again been published, and while Fernando Alonso remains top, he has now been joined by Lewis Hamilton.

The report - published by Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo and citing information compiled by Business Book GP - reckons both are now on around €20 million, Hamilton getting an extra €4 million per year following his switch from McLaren to Mercedes.

Interestingly though, the same publication had Alonso on a retainer of €30 million in 2012 – it is unclear why this estimate for the Ferrari #1 has now been revised...

Jenson Button meanwhile remains third, taking home €16 million, while triple F1 world champion, Sebastian Vettel has got an increase and now earns €12 million with Red Bull, €1 million a year more than Nico Rosberg and €2 million a year more than Mark Webber.

Felipe Massa has had a pay cut, reduced from €10 million a year to €6 million, while Kimi Raikkonen seems to be a relative bargain for Lotus on only €3 million a year (€2 million less than the figure quoted in 2012), although it is rumoured his pot is boosted substantially according to how he performs and how many points he scores.

Further back, Sergio Perez is now earning three times more than last year following his move to McLaren, with the Woking-based team paying him €1.5 million a season. Romain Grosjean, Nico Hulkenberg and Pastor Maldonado are the only other drivers said to be in the €1 million a year bracket, with Valtteri Bottas on €600,000, ahead of Jules Bianchi and Adrian Sutil on €500,000 apiece.

I was at the Belgian GP in August , yes they are quiet especially on the straights ( the speakers on the track & helicopters are louder then them ! ). There not to bad on the corners as there is something interesting noises when they are braking/ going down through the gears.
