Default is there a seal/gasket at base of windscreen?

Do you know is there a seal or gasket at the base of the windscreen on an e60?

I got my windscreen replaced and I can partially remove the cowl to see the base of windscreen glass. I have a water gurgling noise coming from there when driving and when it is raining so maybe the windscreen crowd forgot to put a gasket on there ?

Their one part bonded to the frame of the car - no gasket per say (to seal against water ingress to the passenger compartment) the trim around the screen is there to tidy up the look mainly and allow the pillars move ever so slightly without bursting the screen.

I know my E39 sometimes sounds like their is water gurgling into the car, I eventually figured out that it's the heater / air con. It's vanishes when I turned it off fully... Not saying it's your problem but worth a shot.
