Exclamation The Formula 1 Thread (2014)

Was watching the first practice session, the cars sound terrible I think!! However the sound of the turbo is nice! But it sounds like a bunch of diesel lorrys racing around!! Opinions?

Yeah they sound awful when flat out !!. They only sound halfway decent when going down through the gears or starting of ( I heard the McLaren doing a practice start this morning sounded interesting ! )

Default F1

Sounds like a 250cc single cylinder bike.

Great start to the season!! think we're in for a good one. I think Magnussen will be one to watch for the future. Shame about Bottas rubbing the wall but them Williams are finally competitive again which is great to see.

I quite like the sound of the cars TBH and the fact that the sound of tires screeching can be heard is a bit mad

Ricciardo disqualified as his car was running too much fuel flow.
Sucks for dani as Ilike seeing him get it,

Great race for bottas and Williams, they are looking to have a strong season.

And magnessun what a start for him, diue to the disqualification he finished 2nd in his debut race, definitely one to watch,

Jeez that was really boring & no atmosphere ! the sound is just awful & all this talk of saving fuel i cringe everytime i hear it. I'm an F1 nut but thank god for Bottas making it somewhat interesting .

It seems Mercedes breached the fuel flow rules as well but got away with it:

Good bit of car control

It's great to see some overtaking and not looking at a red bull walking away from the rest of the field but the noise from them is just plain wrong.a f1 car should sound like a f1 car not a modern hot hatch.

While balancing on a piece of wood, two inches by four inches known as a 2x4, john and his friend sally both spotted a dalmatian inside a truck with sirens, headed to put out a fire. State what the 2x4 is made of.
