Bought a winter beater to have some fun while it's snowing but honestly I feel scared to even drive the car. Here's the problems I'm having:
1. Power loss, RPMs don't go over 2k, though this doesn't happen constantly, the car works fine 75% of the time and has power loss issues the rest of the time.
2. Weird spitting noises from the exhaust (also not all the time, sometimes it works fine)
3. Lots of smoke, sometimes white, sometimes black, mostly white though.

It sounds like it wants to die and since I'm not very car savvy or interested in investing money into this car, I figured I'd ask in some forums instead of going to a mechanic. Anybody know what's wrong with it judging from the mentioned symptoms?
