Mine had gone from being arctic temps over a few months, to just cold. I bought a re-charge pack from Hellfords for 50euro, also included a gauge to tell you if the Aircon was broke, or required a recharge. Mine came up as recharge required, so couple of quick presses on the giant lynx can of R134a and my car is freezing again :)

dead simple. the gauge will tell you if it needs a recharge or if its ok or if its got a mechanical fault.

How did that work, and what kind of cost for recharge? I had to get mine filled just after I bought the car (1270mg (or whatever it's measured in!) reservoir); it had 140mg(?) in it. Should have cost about €400 to recharge.
