I want to seal the underside of my 318is. I want to have the whole underside and under the arches of the car peotected against the elements. Espically since the arches and the brake lines on the e36 seems to be espically suscpectable to rust over time.

I believe there are issues with cars failing nct's because of the type of protection used on a car. Has anybody done this? if so what did you use and had you any issues with the nct?

Waxoyl seems to be pretty popular for undersealing. I can't confirm or deny as I have never used it myself, but I can say that I've never heard of it causing any issues regarding the NCT.

Schults (spelling?) is the stuff i use. You can get it in brush on or aerosol. Most motor factors would have it. :)
