Hi Guys,

I am looking to get a BMW as first time driver. what can anyone recommend that will be trouble free as I don't know much about cars also :).

I was looking at a 2013 BMW 1 series sport 116i with 120,000 kms Mileage and a Bmw 330d luxury 258hp with 193000 kms.

Anyone has an idea about these or any better alternative for a first time driver would be much appreciated

As a first-time driver, it's important to consider a few factors when choosing a car, such as reliability, maintenance costs, and ease of use. BMWs can be great vehicles, but it's worth considering a few recommendations:
  1. Reliability: While BMWs are known for their performance and luxury, they may require more maintenance compared to some other brands. It's important to choose a well-maintained vehicle with a good service history. Look for models that have a reputation for reliability, such as the BMW 1 Series or 3 Series.
  2. Budget: Consider your budget not only for the purchase but also for ongoing maintenance and repairs. BMWs can have higher maintenance costs compared to some other brands, so ensure that you can comfortably afford the maintenance and repairs that may arise.
  3. Insurance: BMWs often come with higher insurance premiums due to their performance and luxury nature. It's worth getting insurance quotes for the models you are considering to ensure they fit within your budget.
  4. Test Drive: Before making a purchase, always take the car for a thorough test drive. Pay attention to how it handles, brakes, and accelerates. This will give you a better idea of how comfortable you are with the car and its performance.
