(i've nothing to do with the company who they mention by the way.. So apoligies to the admin for the companys name been mentioned) :(

Im not sure Chris ... The only reason why i was searching for Audio videos was because there is no sound coming out of my front speakers and im trying to fix them ...

I've done the fader and the balance test to make sure it wasnt that ... And it all seems fine ... when i put the fader all the way to the front ... i get no sound at all !!!!!

Maybe there is a wire loose or something ... I love me music & me new motor .. But would love to hear it properly ..... And while im at it im gonna install the i-pod wire for convienience .....

Back to your post ...... I hav'nt checked for the Auxillary conection ... Hopefully someone else can help ......
I had problems with radio and indicators when i got it and came from poor earth in the boot all sorted now! Maybe try your fuses!

Im sure Gar, Mark or Darren be along soon to say if theres an AUX or not :D
Cant see it been a fuse .... surely the rest of the speakers wouldnt work if it was ...

Unless of course they have separate fuses for front and rear ...

Anyway ,,, hopefully one of the lads will steer me in the right direction ...

Thanks for the advise Chris ... ;)
The speakers issue is probably down to a fault in your head unit, not a loose wire or blown fuse.
You could make an AUX connection out of the CD changer wires I suppose, but the sound would not be exactly right. I did this with the Pioneer head unit in the e36 for a while before I got the Pioneer iPod integration kit for the stereo.
So rebel.ranter ..... is there away to swap them around to see if there still working ??

Not too pushed in fitting the I-pod connection .. not yet anyway (but i will if im taking the BMW Professional set up out)

Just want all me speakers to work to tell ye the truth ...
Speakers don't usually fail, it's normally the Amp that fails in the e39, happened to a friend of mine'S e39. Ended up swapping out the boggo unit for a Business CD.
I think PositiveNote on here had the same issue too. To test you could hook up a voltmeter to the connections at the rear of problem speaker.
Of course there could be an issue with broken wires going into the door too, but my bet is on the radio unit failing.
Sound rebel i'll try that tomorrow before work .... Hopefully its something simple ....

I got my daughter to turn on the radio while i had my head on the door speaker to see if i could hear even a hiss or something but with no avail .... Definetly nothing coming from the speaker at all .... So im hoping the speakers are just not wired and its an easy fix ....

Anyway ... hope to have it sorted by the weekend ...

So thanks .....

Anyone else have this problem ...... If so .... help us out
to test your front speakers swap the wires around at the back of the head unit or just connect front speakers in parallel with rear speakers, you can run 2 speakers off one output. or put a 9v battery accross the 2 speaker wires it should make some noise.
Sound Seanie ....

Il have a gander later on to see what i can find .... ;)
