Hi Guys,

I have a Dension 500 MOST + BTA 1500 bluetooth in the post and I'm looking for guidance to fit it and get it operational in my 2008 E60 (without CD changer).

The actual fitting in the glovebox looks pretty straight forward as is the wiring of the kit.

I will need help to hook it up to the car wiring system please and then the correct coding procedure as well (i have recently got INPA DIS and NCS Expert)..

Do you know if the BLA1500 will require more coding???????

Getting COAPI-1000 error when trying to enter +KMP3 and $627 to FA...

Inching my way forward.... I had to delete $694 as it was conflicting with $672 and causing COAPI-1000 error..
I now have added $672 & + KMP3 to vo........

Now for the rest....

Does anybody have a safe link to E60 SP Daten v45 files ?? I cannot read MASK module (2020 Error)..

Just to update you.... I have the v45 daten files... I can read MASK with inpa and there are no errors..

When I try to read MASK with NCS either CAS or LMA route I get the following error:(see Attachment)

I just removed +KMP3 & $672 from FA. I tried again to read the MASK module but I'm getting the same error

I'm wondering at this point if I should download the v46 Daten files?? I don't think there are any updates for E60 but if there was a software glitch in the v45 that I currently have it just might work

OK, I put back in $694 and tried again..... No joy...

I tried to read with KCAN but it is throwing up error... I attach the 43DMO trace file...

Well I have updated Datens to v46 and getting the same error.... Bah...

I had 2 suggestions:

1) Disconnect the battery for 30 mins to power down all modules - this didnt make any difference.

2) Disconnect the Dension and put back the optic fibre cables as they were just in case that there was an error in the MOST circuit. - I still get the same error.

Anybody have another suggestion???

I think so... I went with the 3A set up on Gateway 500 guide (attached) ... it should be good at that.....

My suggestion is to try an autologic machine and if that still gives an error then it's not something you're doing but its on the dension/car side. Shouldn't take more than 5 mins to complete and just make sure your dension/BTA are connected correctly

This will be my last resort... I contacted Mark Murphy Motors and he is away on hols at the mo.. He will code it for me with autologic if I need it....

Im like a dog with a bone with this though.. I would like to solve it if I can... I will try read another E60 to see if it is my set up is at fault...... If it works then I have a problem with The MASK / MOST loop....

Plus you can code more things at the same time with the autologic, alarm chirp, no bulb errors, digital speedo I think...

Ha...... I already have the chirp and Speedo done thanks to the Rebel.Ranter (Top Man)... I would just like to try and crack this if I can....

Make sure the fiber loop is terminated, for me the end connector was above the glovebox, it was like a plug thing, but I had CDC prep, not sure if it's the same with no CDC prep.

It looked like #9 below (diagnosis port) but #7 is the one that makes the loop.

What I did was open the loop like #4 and seperated the optic fibre cable. I then connected the Dension in between them and completed the loop. there is no shown error if I read MASK with INPA so im thinking it should be ok...

Yep... I wasn't sure which way that switch should be so I've tried it both ways - same result though... Looks like I will have to bother you again bud if you don't mind..
Going for autologic at this point is almost like quitting..... If that's the only option then so be it but at least i will have tried all options first..
