Vehicle - BMW, 7 seater 2 series automatic diesel 16 plate

Bought this vehicle privately in March 2021, engine management and drive train appeared 4 months later, took vehicle (towed) to a BMW specialist who diagnosed diesel was in the sensor, ECU and wiring looms and will cost over £4000 to be repaired !!

Contacted BMW who said they would inspect the vehicle at £156.00 an hour to make the diagnostic then may consider a good will gesture, however the vehicle has been serviced by the previous owner but not by BMW.

Has this happened to anyone ? and am I wasting my money taking it to BMW who may refuse any liability !!

How did you get on with your car.Ihave the same thing happen to my series 2, exactly the same circumstances and i don't know were to go.I would love to hear from you.

I had the same issue with BMW 2 series , 7 seaters and the garage technician told me this is the case no 4 in the he had seen recently with the same model and could be factory error or fault in the manufacturing

I have had the same issue with my 2 series grand tourer they have said Diesal in wireloom and charging me over £4K for this? Has anyone had this sorted
