Hi folks,

I need to replace the pollen filters on my '00 523i at the next service.

I want to use the better quality charcoal ones.
OEM or non-OEM doesn't matter to me.

Where is the cheapest place to get these?

Yes that's the place. Yes Mann filters are fine.Sure it's only to keep the dust out!......... Not sure K&N do a high flow ones

I haven't purchased yet - but will be in the next week or 2.

The Carbon ones are supposed to be better, at least for filtering organic material, as the carbon is active - i.e. particles can bond with it chemically.

I would rather have the carbon, than not.

Mann seem to be the way to go.

I think the charcoal/carbon are for aircon, non- charcoal for non-aircon.

I'm dual-climate aircon.

As far as I can see, the OEM filters that came on the car were BMW....

I ended up going with a pair of these filters by Alco - the active carbon ones.

Fitted great and airflow is perfect. Air smells fresher on A/C also.

Cost under £20. Happy days.
