Hey all,

Have a 04 e46 which is at 100k miles, car has been well looked after with plenty of work through the years, recently got the auto gearbox service, the auto cog light is now on and the gears are pulling especially when going down gears. Got it on the diagnostics yesterday with 3 codes showing

Digital Motor Electronics: valvetronic adaption.
DME: Hot film air mass sensor signal
EGS: transmission torque interface

I was thinking this could be related to the MAF ? And potentially the vanos motor as the car doesnt have much acceleration and heavy on juice ? Any ideas if im along the right lines ?

I would suggest to check the valvetronic motor first.
Do a Valvetronic motor position relearn and listen to the motor operation noise. If you can hear the motor turning and the relearn is successful, try to test drive and see what happen.
