Due to the state of the North Tipp roads I drive on I have conceded to the fact that i can't run 18's on my coupe, had them on my Golf before and on average i had a puncture a week and eventually got so sick of them i downgraded to 17's.

What are my options for a 17" wheel on the E46?

I would love something like CSL, LM or CH reps but most can't be got in 17's.

What OEM wheel options are there in 17's?

Is there any other branded wheels, preferably dished wheels that may interest me?

Being honest, going from an 18" wheel to a 17" wheel will make SFA difference !
There is not a whole lot of difference between 40 series and 45 series rubber in terms of sidewall size/strength/absorption capacity.

That wasn't the case with the last car I had, i ran a 225/50/17 and the car was comfortable and I never damaged a wheel or burst any tyres.

They never came in 18's

Something like genuine MV1's are light and strong, so should be grand on bad roads
If i was going for 18's i would be going for CSL's or the likes.

Mate has a set of MV1's on his 330 and he's finding it very hard to keep them.

Cheers anyway.

Ideally a set of Style 68s(i think!) would be my choice. Ben O Brien had a set advertised, not sure if he still has them now though.

That's easily done, they just need to be waxed
No I mean he finds it very hard minding them on our shitty roads, he has damaged two wheels already. If you seen the state of the roads down here (most are like country boreen's with potholes like fuckin craters on the moon!) you would believe me.

Another mate has 18" CSL's reps and 2 of the wheels are damaged on him too.
