After reading through ciars e46 thread last night made me want his lights

The E46 M3 never came with the facelifted front, right?

just wondering would it take a hell of a lot of work/money to go for facelifted front lights on my 2000 323ci, with modified M3 front wings, CSL replica front bumper or would it end up looking aweful?

Think you have awnsered your own question there, very expensive and would look aweful. IMO it's always best to retrofit and keep it oem if possible, but I like your idea for a csl front bumper,
Why not go for led rears, smoked or clear sides and try find some oem xenon headlights

m3 oem xenons with carbon inserts etc look the absolute business

Would be cheaper and far better looking then retrofitting the facelift lights

I have oem xenon headlights at the mo with a HID kit and clear sides, but after looking at facelift it they do look nice.. it was just a thought to be honest - but just for the sake of uprading the lights at a (presumably very costly) bodyshops price puts me off. Just kinda playing with idea's at the mo.. LED rears would be nice alright, I do like those! They costly? I wouldn't say there common found on breakers / second hand??

Do xenons need a HID?

never change them lights...they are beautiful

I presume there xenon's anyone.. it does have a genuine HID kit installed though.. I'll get pics tomorow / this eve in the dark to.

Do u have auto lights?
I'd say more than likely what you have is an aftermarket hid kit. Oem xenons will have auto lights and headlight wash.

Autolights? don't think so.. no h/l washers anyway.. There halo lights with a HID kit id presume? have a slight purpley blue tinge to them on dims and when on fulls are a bright white..

Do you have projectors? Don't think some hid kits without projector headlights are road legal

Hmm not sure, how can I tell if there projector or not? (stupid question to some but im non the wiser to all sorts of different lighting )
