So after my last day out with the car the brakes were making a grinding noise when I put it up on the trailer.so i checked the front pads and after 4 track days and 585 miles of track abuse the front ds2500 pads are shot.so I've now fitted a set of ebc turbo grove discs with Carbon Lorraine rc6 pads.So I got them fitted today and said I'd check the back pads just in case and wouldent you know the back ebc yellow stuff are in the same way.So I'm now going the upgrage to the ek9 type r rear brakes which are 20mm bigger discs with bigger calipers and use a set of carbon Lorraine rc5+ on the back.Ive also changed the 2 front drop links ,track rod bars and track rod ends.On top of that I've ordered a set of blox racing camber arms for the front as I'm wearing the front left tyres side wall from all the clockwise corners.Ive done a deal today with a guy for a maxim works 4 branch manifold which I should have by the weekend.Ill have it out again the end of July and I'm hoping to do another few days before the end of the year.

Yea I try and get as much out of the day as I can.Ive been looking at ways of trying to get some ducting to the brakes but haven't sorted anything yet.Im very hard on the brakes I don't have any power but I make up for it under braking.

even mock up some 1 1/2" flexi pipe to the brakes to get you out of a hole

So I collected my 4 branch and also picked up a type r strut brace.today my spare engine got dropped off along with my type r cams so I'll get that engine together and have it ready as a spare to just drop in whenever I need it.Ive also ordered 2 new rear calipers as I couldent get a good second hand set so it will have 262mm rear discs instead of the 242mm with new calipers second hand carriers and I've also ordered a set of carbon Lorraine cl5+ pads for the rear so that should keep me sorted for a bit.My camber arms should be here tommorow so with a bit of luck I'll have all the bits got and fitted by next week ready for the next track day at the end of July.

So with some good news moving on from the problems with my other car.Ive this car coming up to a year the end of the month and ive had some great days out in mondello with it.The last day out I did 170mls.This year myself and a few friends want to carry the cars to the uk to do a few track days there.But lve always been lacking a bit of power compared to my buddys cars.One of them has a b18c ek4 and the other is a sir integra so after 8 or 9 trouble free track days and over 1200mls of abuse with the Honda b16a2 Ive gone and got myself a b18c6 uk type r engine.I picked it up before Christmas and got it fitted a few days ago.Im still waiting for a few bits to finish it off like a full engine service kit, new water pipes, tps sensor,lamba sensor and a baffled sump and a few more bits but there is some difference in the way it goes now.From what I can tell its a fairly good engine with good compression and no smoke in vtec which is a surprise.Ive 2 new ad08r tyres all ready got for the front as I think there a great tyre and I get a few days out of them.Ill be out on a dtdirl feb trackday.Ive just picked up a brand new skunk2 alpha manifold which I couldent leave after me for the price and a mugen twin loop back box and its running a 98spec jap ecu.So hopefully it will be as reliable as the last one and I might get a roll cage fitted before the end of the year just for the added bit of safety.Ill get some photos up tomorrow.

So it's ready for the next day.Got the last of the jobs done a few days ago.I Fitted a nearly new skunk 2 alpha 4 branch with a stainless decat ,dc2 centre section and a mugen twin loop back box.2 new rad hoses with a new Honda termostat,new Honda rocker cover and sump gasket,new Honda fuel filter,spark plugs,distributer cap and rotor.While the sump was off I fitted it with a tegiwa baffled plate.Also a new tps sensor as I broke the last one.I've also fitted a Cold air feed from the front bumper to the air filter.I had to get One new hasport driveshaft to replace my broken one from the last day out.And 2 new ad08r for the front.Id also a deal nearly done on a kazz lsd sorted but that has fell through so I'll look in to getting a new one later in the year.I'll test out the engine on the next track day on the 15 of feb.Really looking forward to the next day out to see how it goes with the new engine as I always taught I needed some more power.

I've seen it at few OTDs
I have black ep3 on uk plates, must get few laps with you next day I see you out if you don't mind, you always getting in good times :)

Yea no problem.I fitted a walbro 255 fuel pump last week so that should keep the fuel sorted.Hopefully this engine will be as relaible as my last engine.Ive seen your own car out a bit ago.Looks like it's going pretty good too.Im doing the 13th Otd day and the dtdirl 20th providing all goes well.so if your at anyone of them just jump in for the spin.
