After being revealed late last year, the very first 2014 BMW M4 Coupe has rolled off the production line in Germany.
Unsurprisingly, the first completed M4 was finished in the stunning shade of Austin Yellow the car was initially previewed in. DTM racing driver Martin Tomczyk had the privilege of the presenting the all-new, BMW sports car.
Arguably more important than the visual options available are the various technologies available. Some of the most notable ones include active blind spot detection and departure warning with collision mitigation and side and top view cameras. These features come part as the Driver Assistance Plus package. The Lighting Package features full LED lights complete with automatic high beams.
As a reminder, under the hood, both the new M3 sedan and M4 coupe are fitted with a twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engine revving to 7,600 rpm and producing an impressive 431 hp between 5,390 rpm and 7,000 rpm and 406 lb-ft of torque from a low 1,800 rpm to 5,390rpm. That torque figure is available across a broad rev range and is an improvement over the outgoing BMW E92 M3 of 40 per cent.
