Been a while since there was any discussion on this. How many of you are:

• subscribed?
• what are you reading?
• what is it costing you?
• will you be renewing come year end?

I don't subscribe to any, but would pick up evo every month.

I subscribed to Autocar for a few years, mainly for consistency of supply and a little bit for cost.

The cost argument slipped away as they kept pushing up the price up. A newsagent in our village was always good at getting a wide range of monthly motoring mags but the weekly Autocar was a bit hit and miss sometimes. He now gets a regular and sufficient supply and he hasn't been without it for a long time. He will also hold some if I'm away for a couple of weeks. So, the consistency of supply argument is no longer the case. The price difference is about 50c an issue now, when I first started subscribing it was around €1. I'm happy to pay that to encourage a service like that in a small town newsagent.

As well as Autocar, I get Total BMW and BMW Car every month. I also get mags such as Evo, Car, Classic and Sportscar, Classic Car Monthly regularly but not religiously.

I'd pick up Total BMW nearly every month but sometimes I miss one or two! I never actually looked into a subscription,is there a saving worth taking about by doing it this way??

I was subscribed to EVO but let it lapse but will be renewing again as its one of the best mags out there, used to get BMW car but not anymore as it just got boring and any news you could see online first.

I think EVO is £58 for 12 mags which is even cheaper than getting it from the newsagents

I have most Total BMW & BMW Car but like someone has already mentioned they are starting to get a little boring now.
I never subscribed & don't think I will. Our postman jams things through the letterbox so if there was a magazine it would be wrecked before I even turned a page! Letters come in like a ball of paper by the time they make it through the letterbox!

I used to subscribe to Collectible Automobile because of the content and Automobile Magazine because of the writers.

I subscribed to Performance BMW last week - £60 for 12 months - as none of my local newagents stock anything of interest.

I subscribe to 4X4 Magazine and have been a subscriber since 1984. It used to be called Off Road and 4 Wheel drive until recent years. Have all the issues since early 1984. I used to be a subscriber to Practical Boat Owner but gave up 5 years ago. Again I have all issues since the early ninetys. Nuts isnt it hoarding what is mostly out of date useless information but sometimes in a blue moon I may open a copy to clarify an issue for a mate.

I'm a lover and long time reader of EVO too. However, I wouldn't mind having a regular BMW focused magazine too each month. Anyone care to make a recommendation or are none of the offerings worth a 12 month sub? If so, am I better off with a mix of 2 or 3 different titles on rotation each month?

Nice one about the Evo was about to subscribe again one of these days but a further drop of £10 is an even better saving, cheers

I have one with Audi Driver. But i will stop that becuase i find it's getting a bit boring. The nice thing about Audi Driver is that you get it before it comes to the shops. Unlike Performance VW Might start one for Autosport. Anybody ahve a subscription to it ?, what do you think of it ?.
