So guys, had an oil change done and requested low saps oil. Turns out this stuff was used which is listed as mid saps (not sure what the actual difference is in real world terms) . Car is a 2006 530d with dpf.

Is this a problem. Should I change the oil. Funnily enough it is listed as BMW LL04. Dont want the dpf getting messed up.

I'm not an expert in diesels, so I'll give you my $0.02 worth based on my simple minded logic.

New oil is generally better than old oil. The new oil is LL04 - which is good. If you do predominantly town driving, short journeys, frequent cold starts. etc. that are already hard on a DPF, then it might be worth changing it, but otherwise I'd be inclined to the view that it should be fine, but plan on a shorter interval to the next change, maybe half your usual elapsed mileage.
