Apologies for the rookie question but I need to get a micro filter for my e90. I've found Bosch and Mann filters on misterauto.ie and micksgarage.ie but there are two different filters;

  • Width either 123mm or 133mm
  • Active carbon or standard.

Is there a way I can find out what the OEM part is without whipping it out and measuring it?!

Also, I can't find the link that's been put up here a few times for OEM parts online. Can someone help please?

Many thanks as always.

The charcoal ones are good if you suffer from asthma or live & drive a lot in a city.
In terms of parts catalogues you also have the following options in addition to Realoem:

http://www.bmwfans.info

(The prices shown in Realoem & BMWfans can be seriously out of whack so don't put too much credence in them)

To check Irish prices type the part number in to the following website:

http://www.d2dgateway.com

(only works if a dealer on the system has that part in stock, should be fine for something like a microfilter though)

To check UK dealer prices for a part type the part number in to this website:

http://www.cooperbmwparts.co.uk

Also, removing the microfilter is a simple job, you'd have it removed in a minute or two. Have a look on this website for instructions on how to remove it:
