Yea there steel flaps on 05-07 engines i think..
Ive a '07 520d (same engine) and mine were steel.. But still
Prone to failure.. Whipped mine out anyway...
I got the 'PMW' blanks. 32mm i think.. And had my egr valve cleaned
And engine temperature checked at the same time.. As regards DPF removal
I'd leave it in and just get it mapped..

Can I ask where did you buy the blanks?
I think I will go ahead and get them done.

Thanks for the advice.

Thanks.

Yeah, they are standard M spec wheels. They really suit the M kits. Not sure how much they would be worth though, not for sale if your hinting.. :p

No...not hinting...but a car in my shortlist has them on and i'd like to get rid of them (if I buy!).

Did you do a bit of polishing/waxing yourself over the weekend? Looks very well in the 2nd pic.

Didn't get around to waxing her (bit under the weather), but gave it a good scrub.

Gave the exhaust tip shining too. Brillo pads, steel wool and autosol metal polish.

Before and after below.
