Insurance is a minor detail in the grand scheme of motoring.

My budget is between 15K and 16K depending.

There seems to be very little choice!

I personally wouldnt bother with the 3 litre.

Though you might struggle to get a Z4 M coupe for €16k as they're generally around £16k sterling.

Theres 2 roadsters for sale up here but heed my advice - you're buying an un-sellable car that will continue to loose money and IMO opinion sinking 16k euro into a 3 litre Z4 is madness. You'd be far better off with a much cheaper E46 M3

I'm not saying theres anything wrong with the Z4, they're isnt - they're a great car. I'm just saying that you could get something better for your money that wont depreciate as much.

Thanks Johnb850, I hear what you are saying, but I have a slight obsession with them! It will always be in the back of my head if I don't end up buying one. Those 2 you added are roadsters and they are lovely, im looking for a coupe though. so hard to find!

With your budget you could buy a nice Z3 M coupe or roadster in the UK and VRT it. I actually think there is a Z3 M Coupe for sale on carzone for €12k or there abouts.

They have challenging styling IMO but no-one can deny their driving dynamics and that is the most important thing in a sports car.

These are so tempting, but a fair chunk of a sportscars appeal is the look for me and with the risk of angering some people I think the Z4M is very dated looking at this stage.

Z4 M coupes should be a good investment as not many built and IMHO a far nicer car than an E46 or E92 M3

I really do like the Z4 in coupe version

That guy bought a lovely Z4 M Coupe for less than that 3 litre in republic.

That 3 litre is the same price as a Z4 M bought in the UK with VRT.

I would recommend a drive in a Z4M so you can see how much more of a car the M is over the 3 litre.

I wouldnt because of the colour. That guy in the post was onto me about his, he is willing to sell it. was only looking to spend 16K ish so im going to see can I get a few more quid together.

Breadvan_Matt sold his gorgeous Z4 last year, I dont want to say how much but lets just say someone got a bargain!!! I really didnt want to spend more than 16K! and the way things are you would think peopel would take the hand and all off you for that much cash!
