Saloon e46 is SOLD to Cork..

First day in the new coupe, stopped for diesel and a passerby says,
"You'll be pulling some skirt in that.."

 

That's a fantastic colour, really stands out, there's so many black / silver ones around! (mine included!)

Any ideas how you'll go about the drivers bolster? Looking to get the alcantara in mine done also.

 

I honestly have no idea. Because the saloon sport seat is more common, I'm hoping to find just a driver's seat and put it in. I'm told it will fit, the only issue will be that it won't flip up for passengers to exit, but in my car no passengers are allowed to exit via the driver's seat so that wouldn't bother me! However, I haven't done much research yet as I've only got the car but if you find anyone re-trimming these let me know, I'd probably get the two front seats done!

Yeah I have to be honest the saloon seat would bother me, even getting the Hoover in behind it would be a bother

These guys can do a full reupholster, it's likely I'll use them, I hear good reports though they're apparently expensive - www.cartronics.ie.

I was also going to try car medic based in Dundalk, I know they can repair upholstery but not sure if they'd be able for a big repair job, think its more cigarette burns etc..

As far as I know if you lift the rear seat there should be enough spare material to retrim your bolster.

I cleaned out the EGR last night. It was pretty boggin. I used engine cleaner and degreaser, a screwdriver and a toothbrush.

 

How smooth was the actuator movement for the small piston? I wasn't 100% with mine, so had a new one installed. It was probably the build up that eventually killed it for me. It was never done before I bought the car 2 years back.

 

I started a thread yesterday asking how to test this and nobody replied so I didn't poke at it too much. How do I check?

AC Schnitzer twin exhaust tip... purchased

Where did you buy this, any link, mad to change the exhaust tip on mine its wrecking my head!

 

Found a used one on donedeal about 6 months ago. Unfortunately it's suited for the twin pipe on a 330 so a bit of welding will have to be done. Hopefully it fits, it's not on the priority list at the minute though!

 

Is it the oval one, or the figure of 8 one?

Snap - see what happens when you stretch its legs.. I hit the West & North West of Ireland last week and got a couple of 600mile tanks in return.

Still rather 200 miles and an M though

 

How did your seat matt sensor bypass work out?

 

Funny you asked niall, just in the door from fitting it! Hooked the bypass unit up and the light is out now! Jumped in the passenger seat and bounced about a little and it didn't come back on! Great job, thanks for the part!
