2001 320D K&N Air Filter

Hi everyone!

I just took delivery of a K&N air filter for my BMW. Has anyone on here fitted these? I didn't get it for any other reason than length of life as the standard 0 ones are between €20 & €30 and need replacing every year.

Is there much of a difference with it fitted? I'd imagine none at all or negligible but just interested it other experiences.

is it the K&N with the oil on the filter? If it is it can cause problems with your MAF. I have a pipercross filter in mine and it made no real difference.

It doesn't have oil on it I don't think.

That's how it works, the oily residue catches the dirt, so when there cleaned they need to be reoiled

well, u will feel ur car breading easier, but thats about it, there will be no extra bhp or anything like it,
i have one and im happy with it. lasts forever (needs cleaning) and breads easier
