Anyone have any idea what kind of battery would be needed for an m3 vert? The old one is a 12v 110 amp but this seems like overkill??

Inflation how are you! You'll probably get away with a regular battery but it might not last as long & you might not get one that is low enough to fit in to the tray. Worth considering when you see that price.

The battery was replaced by the previous owner about 3 years ago with a moll branded one. Its lasted 3 years of being parked up alot and fits fine. The problem im having is finding the right lenght. Its 375mm long and the only place that has a battery that lenghth is halfords and they are lookin for €170. I know they charge more than my local suppler as a rule so trying to find some motor factors that can supply the right size, hate givin halfords my hard earned €.

In case your stuck with going to Halfords, here's a 10% off voucher:

Or better still if you know an Axa card holder you get 15% off if they present their card (you get one if you're insured with Axa).

ive preplaced batterys in both my E36 M3s and E39 M5 and ive gotten them from local motor factors for €110-120 cash...

most had to order it in as they are a pretty big battery so nearly 200 quid seems very expensive

most local auto factors will gladly source this for you....

Drop down to the garage Brian, I'm sure we would have one there for it. Not sure how much but they vary around the 75-100 mark. I'm off sick at the mo (yeah, sick in the head I know :D) but ask for Mark and he'll sort it out. We wouldn't have any of the baffled type batterys tho for the cabs!
