Bit of a thread resurrection here..

2 weeks ago I had the inline fuel pump replaced in the car. Last week the airbag light came on a couple of times intermittently while driving. While the airbag light was on, the MFSW buttons would not work. As soon as the airbag light went off (after restarting the car), the buttons came back to life with the exception of the cruise control! Radio, phone controls etc. are working but no cc. Any ideas on whether these are all linked (& if so, how?) or is it just a coincidence & should I go down the MAF route straight away? (Car is a e39 530d auto)

Working again for the last few days.. not complaining, just very strange. Electrical gremlins!!
