It is possible, I had it done on my previous e36 325i about 5 years ago. It was a few hours of labour for my specialist (John Roche in Gort). I got a copy of the installation notes from my local dealer parts department. I bought the BNIB retro-fit kit on e-bay for stgÂŁ50 so it wasn't a headache to throw a couple of hundred at having a go at getting it fitted.

I thought I might have a copy of the notes somewhere on the PC but it appears not. I've dropped an e-mail to the guy that owns the car now to see if I left a copy in the documentation that went with the car.

I'd say if you have someone that isn't colour blind and can follow a circuit diagram then the installation shouldn't be too difficult. Unfortunately, on those criteria I was ruled out of competancy on both counts!

mfsw on the e36 is cool and not to hard to achieve as is the obc and cruise retrofit , the climate control retrofit is an absolute massive job if you do it make sure you take lots of pics i was lucky enough to have it in my e36 but have seen guides on fitting it

edit this is where i got the inspiration for my own
