touring all day!

 

Both look like nice cars but touring also gets my vote

 

Yeah got a soft spot for tourings........
Was initally looking for another e34 V8, but pretty hard to get in good shape...

Another 528 has popped up for pretty decent money .......

Why give yourself a dilemma...buy them both!

 

Out of curiosity what kind of money are those cars going for? I bet they make more money over there than here!

Yeah euro stuff is nuts over here especially dealer prices as you have linked to .... the above care are circa 2500 - 3800 nzd. before haggling of course !

Its funny tho, most wont touch a euro here, because of the parts scare-mongering. But in truth they are probably easier to look after, as a lot of very good ex pat specialists have set up servicing shops, also a very good spares network here.

 

I have both an e36 & an e39, the e39 wins hands down, it's a fantastic car. The touring is pretty cool if you have a lot to carry around. In reality it's not the biggest estate/wagon in its class though.
As for the cooling system worries....a bit of preventative maintenance will banish any concerns.
